01IRON AT 1500°C
Carefully controlled materials are melted in induction furnaces using electricity from renewable sources.

SKEPPSHULT · SMÅLAND
Charles E. Andersson founded a foundry on the River Nissan. Its knowledge, values and craftsmanship live on.
A SWEDISH MANUFACTORY
While much of the world becomes faster and more disposable, Skeppshult follows a different rhythm. Every production step requires experience, precision and time. From strictly controlled raw material to seasoning with organic rapeseed oil, every piece is created in the small Swedish town of Skeppshult.

GENUINE CRAFTSMANSHIP
No two pans are exactly alike. Small differences tell the story of handmade production and make each piece unique.
SKEPPSHULT · 1906–2026
Since Charles E. Andersson founded the foundry by the Nissan River in 1906, knowledge, craftsmanship and timeless values have been passed from generation to generation. Skeppshult is Scandinavia’s last remaining foundry producing heirloom-quality cast-iron household goods.
Regional casting sand and 120 years of experience create the characteristic surface and durability. Every pour requires precision, and every sand mould is used only once, making each piece unique.

HANDWERK IN SMÅLAND
From iron heated to 1500°C to the fitted handle, the entire process remains in Skeppshult.
01Carefully controlled materials are melted in induction furnaces using electricity from renewable sources.
02Two compressed sand-mould halves form the cavity. The foundry master pours every mould by hand.
03Once cool, the mould is opened. It is used for one casting only, while the sand is reclaimed and reused.
04Grinding, turning and blasting shape the surface. Organic rapeseed oil protects the iron and starts its natural patina.
05Handles are fitted and every product is inspected. Rejected castings return to the melting process.
